Heute kommt sein Bruder, Michael Pointinger dran. Er stammte aus Unterriedl, heute ein Ortsteil der bayerischen Gemeinde <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kollnburg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kollnburg<\/a>, und war der Sohn eines Tagel\u00f6hners. Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er in der 1. Kompanie des 13. bayerischen Infanterie-Regiments als Infanterist und wurde mit dem Eisernen Kreuz 2. Klasse ausgezeichnet. Am 05.07.1917 fiel er im Alter von 25 Jahren in der N\u00e4he von <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fresnoy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fresnoy<\/a> bei Arras w\u00e4hrend der Stellungsk\u00e4mpfe in franz\u00f6sisch Flandern.
