Im Zweiten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er in der 6. Kompanie des Infanterie-Regiments 188 als Sch\u00fctze. Am 25.06.1941 fiel er im Alter von 29 Jahren bei Vierzchowina Pkt. 261. Man begrub Josef Ke\u00dfler auf einem Friedhof bei <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jaworiw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaworow<\/a> in der Ukraine.
