Im Ersten Weltkrieg diente er in der 4. Kompanie des\u00a0 25. bayerischen Infanterie-Regiments als Landsturmmann. Am 06.04.1916 fiel er im Alter von 37 Jahren im Wald von <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Avocourt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Avocourt<\/a> w\u00e4hrend der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Schlacht_um_Verdun\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Schlacht um Verdun<\/a> durch schwere Kopfverwundung.<\/p>\n<p>Offiziell ist f\u00fcr Josef Biber keine Grablage bekannt. Ich vermute jedoch, dass er entweder noch im Wald von Avocourt begraben liegt, oder aber anonym in einem Massengrab auf dem Soldatenfriedhof <span
