Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er in der 6. Kompanie des 2. bayerischen Infanterie-Regiments. Am 01.03.1916 fiel er im Alter von 30 Jahren nach 19 Monaten Kriegsdienst w\u00e4hrend der Stellungsk\u00e4mpfe auf den H\u00f6hen westlich <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vimy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vimy<\/a> bei Neuville &#8211; St. Vaast durch Versch\u00fcttung.<\/p>\n<p>Offiziell ist f\u00fcr Johann Geigl keine Grablage bekannt.
