Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er als Landwehrmann im 10. Infanterie-Regiment. Am 26.04.1916 fiel er im Alter von 32 Jahren w\u00e4hrend der Schlacht um Verdun bei den Stellungsk\u00e4mpfen im Aillywald vor Satint-Mihiel durch Granatschuss.<\/p>\n<p>Wenn nach dem Granattreffer noch sterbliche \u00dcberreste von Michel M\u00fchlbauer noch \u00fcbrig waren, wurden diese wahrscheinlich auf dem Soldatenfriedhof Sasint-Mihiel oder Troyon beigesetzt.
