Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er in der 2. Kompanie des 13. bayerischen Reserve-Infanterie-Regiments. Er wurde mit dem Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse\u00a0 ausgezeichnet. Am 12.08.1917 fiel er nach drei Jahren Kriegsdienst im Alter von 26 Jahren bei Stellungsk\u00e4mpfen am Chemin des Dames in der N\u00e4he von <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Allemant_(Aisne)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Allemant<\/a> durch ein Artilleriegeschoss.
