Seit 1916 diente er im 471. infanterie-Regiment-Regiment. Am 19.04.1918 verstarb er im Alter von 19 Jahren am <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Canal_d%E2%80%99Aire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">La Bass\u00e9e-Kanal<\/a> (franz\u00f6sisch: Canal d\u2019Aire).
