Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er als Infanterist in der 6. Kompanie des 2. bayerischen Infanterie-Regiments. Am 01.06.1916 verstarb er w\u00e4hrend der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Schlacht_um_Verdun\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Schlacht um Verdun<\/a> im Alter von 33 Jahren in im Feldlazarett Romagne-sous-Cotes bei Verdun nach einem Kopfschuss.
