Im Ersten Weltkrieg diente er als Landwehrmann in einem Regiment, das ich leider nicht ermitteln konnte. Die Angaben auf dem Sterbebild sind falsch. Am 05.11.1914 fiel er im Alter von 35 Jahren in Frankreich.
