Im Ersten Weltkrieg diente er als Infanterist in einem bayerischen Infanterie-Regiment. Am 16.08.1917 verstarb er nach schwerer Verwundung im Alter von 23 Jahren in einem Lazarett in der rum\u00e4nischen Stadt Focsani.<\/p>\n<p>Offiziell ist f\u00fcr Johann Ratzenb\u00f6ck keine Grablage bekannt.
