Im Ersten Weltkrieg diente er als Unteroffiziers-Aspirant in der 1. Kompanie des 12. bayerischen Reserve-Infanterie-Regiments. Am 04.06.1915 fiel er im Alter von 21 Jahren bei Thelus w\u00e4hrend der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lorettoschlacht#Zweite_Schlacht_von_La_Bass%C3%A9e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fr\u00fchjahrsschlacht bei La Bass\u00e9e und Arras<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Offiziell ist f\u00fcr Otto Semmler keine Grablage bekannt.
