Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er als Landwehrmann in der 6. Kompanie des 2. Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiments (auf dem Sterbebild irrt\u00fcmlich als <em>Landwehr-Regiment<\/em> angegeben).
