Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er in der 9. Kompanie des 121. Infanterie-Regiments. Am 12.02.1916 fiel er im Alter von 36 Jahren im Elsass w\u00e4hrend der K\u00e4mpfe im Elsass bei <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/r8TgzJC1gwz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carspach<\/a>\u00a0durch Granatvolltreffer.
