Er war im Ersten Weltkrieg Fahrer bei der leichten Munitionskolonne 121 des Bayerischen 1. Feldartillerie-Regiment. Am 11.06.1918 verstarb er im Alter von 21 Jahren auf einem Hauptverbandplatz der 13. Sanit\u00e4tskompanie, nachdem er am 09.06.1918 durch Granatbeschuss verwundet worden war.
