Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er in der 12. Kompanie de 17. Reserve-Infanterie-Regiments als Ersatz-Reservist. Am 29.12.1915 wird er bei <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/R1BJhTF1t6m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wavrin<\/a> durch einen Kopfschuss schwer verletzt.
