Er war ledig, geh\u00f6rte der Kirche von England an und war der Sohn von C. Stokes von der Each End Farm in <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/pdMKLwfJFSBj62257\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ash<\/a> (bei Canterbury). Am 19.10.1915 wurde er einberufen und k\u00e4mpfte im Ersten Weltkrieg als Private im 19. Infanterie-Bataillon der <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Australian_Imperial_Force\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Australian-Imperial-Force<\/a> (AIF). Am 14.12.1916 verstarb er in <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/PLj9Xy4N91qK8JFS7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Edgbaston<\/a>, einem Stadtteil von <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Birmingham\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Birmingham<\/a>, an einer Krankheit.<\/p>\n<p>Man begrub Private A.
