Im Ersten Weltkrieg k\u00e4mpfte er als Landwehrmann in der 8. Kompanie des 92. Reserve-Infanterie-Regiments. Am 02.07.1915 (Volksbund und Regimentsgeschichte: 03.07.1915) fiel er in den Vogesen nahe der Stadt M\u00fcnster (franz\u00f6sisch: Munster, els\u00e4ssisch: Menschter) am <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/Lc54FdtDZ4mDScxu5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M\u00f6nchberg<\/a>.
