Im Ersten Weltkrieg diente er in der 3. Kompanie des 3. bayerischen Reserve-Infanterie-Regiments als Soldat. <a href=\"http:\/\/geschichte-hautnah.de\/www\/?p=4594\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sein Bruder<\/a> fiel am 02.10.1916 bei Verdun.\u00a0 Am 21.08.1916 fiel er im Alter von 25 Jahren durch Granatschuss an der Somme nach 16 Monaten Kriegsdienst.<\/p>\n<p>Eine Grablage ist f\u00fcr Johann Hindelang nicht bekannt.
