Im Ersten Weltkrieg diente er in der 1. Batterie des 1. bayerischen Reserve Fu\u00dfartillerie-Regiments. Am 30.11.1914 verstarb er im Alter von 32 Jahren im Lazarett von <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Douai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Douai<\/a> in Frankreich an einer
